Be sure to chose Derrek Wanty as the inspector (Derrek Wanty - Springfield and Columbus Area). We will get notice that an inspection or a stand alone service has been booked and will communicate with the appropriate parties to make sure we can have access to the property. On the day of the inspection, we will arrive 2 hours earlier than the booked walk-through and will begin the inspection. If the client wishes to see the property and go over some of the findings in person, at the designated time of the booking we will meet with the client and discuss our findings. By the end of the day we will complete our report and email it to the client.

In many cases the client will choose to add on services like Radon Testing or Water Testing. In these situation after the home inspection we will set up our radon testing equipment and/or take water samples. When these tests have been completed and we have the results, we will then email them to the client.

Many investors and home buyers will waive a full inspection as part of their offer, but still understand the importance of having a professional look at property before the deal is finalized to avoid surprises and costly repairs. That is one of the goals with our Consultation Service. Just call us and let us know when you would like to do a walk through (often with the Realtor). We will bring the ladder and tools and inspect the house to uncover any issues. With this type of service there will be no written report, so the home owner should be prepared to takes notes as we go along.

The second goal of our Consultation Service is to help home owners who want advice on new projects or want a yearly walk through to look for advice on maintaining their home. Radon testing often comes combined with a home inspection, but it can also be booked as a stand alone service. In many cases a home owner would simply like to see if the their property has high radon levels. Under 'Book Now' you would choose the Radon Test option, choose the inspector, and a time (although in the case the time will not matter so much, as we will be in contact with the appropriate parties to gain access). Once the test is booked we would first discuss with the client the importance of 'closed house conditions' and then coordinate a drop off time with the client to set up our machinery. After 48 hours we would return to retieve the machinery and the data that it contains. After processing the data we would then email the report to our client.
